Just read of his death at 84. Remember his reporting from the Vietnam War and Cambodia. A bit of a fire-brand to be sure but the kind of journalist that we sadly no longer see much of. May not always be in total agreement with him but he spoke out for things he believed in and certainly not afraid of criticising Western policies whether that be the actions of the US government in SE Asia or his own Australian one regarding Aboriginal rights/treatment.
