    Bartley

Not surprisingly you will say, I considered Bartley was again guilty of constant delays and unnecessary back passes to the keeper. Clearly some issues with other players, particularly Furlong, who was the recipient of Bartley’s blame apportioning gesturing!
Whilst I’m always happy to congratulate Bartley on his heading ability, I was frustrated today with his constant pointing and hand waving. It was apparent that my agitation is felt by others in the side.
I wish he would just concentrate on winning headers, do his best to mark men, cover back and avoid the gesturing.
    Rant over !

Irritates me to death, foot on the ball for 15-20secs whilst gesturing, not the only one guilty of constant passing backwards Furlong does it too, it slows the play down giving the opposition time to get back in shape, 3 points is 3 points but we were fortunate today, quite a few guilty in the first half of giving the ball away in dangerous areas, Bartley seemed to think we were playing in red

The reason Bartley waits and then passes the ball either backwards or sideways is because every time he attempts to play the ball forwards he hits it straight to an opposing player. I don't think he converted one forward pass in the first half. Most of our players were guilty of giving the ball away or losing it in dangerous areas. The one real bright spark today was Fellows. He looked dangerous every time he got on the ball and was tugged back several times as he was about to leave a player for dead. Thank goodness we got him signed up as at the moment he is the one player in that side that is worth watching.

Fellows indeed was the bright spark but many today were garbage. Whilst I would agree Bartley waves his hand and takes too long on the ball - for me he’s been relatively solid in many games. If you want to be critical then Townsend for me is a league 1 player at best and Asante whilst he has some nice touches - he couldn’t score consistently in a whore house! Would he have scored that goal today? No!

Swift has been a waste of space too since coming back into the side. Lucky today and we will get hammered at Ipswich if we don’t up our game!

Exactly the point I've been making for weeks now. I'm glad it's not just me who has this opinion about him.
