    The non penalty on Sunday

Why has nothing been said about the foul on Costello after Mellon got assaulted, nothing on sportscene, obviously no VAR check, maybe I seen it differently from others but i thought it was a clear penalty

There seems to something that goes wrong if a ref plays advantage after a foul. Unlike rugby there does mot seem to be an option to return to the scene of the initial foul, which happens in rugby.

That is only partially true. A ref in football can let the play run and subsequently bring it back for a free kick but only for a short time, far shorter than is allowed in rugby.
