Yes for me but LR was a poor replacement
I don't think MT would have done any better we would have gone down with him also, it is clear that manager after manager has stated that the footballing infrastructure supporting the first team is not good enough, credit to PW for getting success with those deep routed issues. Let us not forget how shocked he was at the level of the gap around the supporting infrastructure at Derby compared to Rotherham. That is not saying we should be the same, but things have to be done in the supporting infrastructure and youth development system.
This article makes some interesting but strong points https://therealefl.co.uk/2024/02/15/...d-this-season/

The article doesn't add anything to what the average (based on intellectual ability) fan has already worked out. If you look at the history of TS's reign it's unlikely that things are going to change radically.
He won't be going anywhere voluntarily before the centenary and spending isn't going to improve in the way some think it should.
MT had to go because the fanbase had turned and the atmosphere was toxic. Once it gets to the that point there’s no way back. Imagine what the crowds would be like if we in this position and MT was still here? He’d have probably quit by now for his own sake.
if Swiss tony left Taylor in charge he would have been a “zombie” manager….as custodian of club he had to be seen to be taking action…they obviously thought this was the time a restructure to take place, which suffocated the manager recruitment process…some managers wouldn’t come through choice but some may not have like the new set up of head coach…which some say isn’t a great shift but look at Millwall for example they have gone down this route and ATOW it’s not working and need a squad reset like we do..
Wether it should be LR,I would say at this point yes because that’s who we have got..!..
Imo Thats where the chairman has to come out and back the manager. Make it clear that Mt was employed long term to change the way rufc compete in the championship and he will get to the end of the season. This also makes it clear to the manager either works dang hard to try and retain his job or gives up and be sacked come July.
MT would have received a package for being sacked anyway so why imply costs employing another inferior 5th choice manager in LR..
I hope TS gives LR the above and at least 1 full season next year. We all know trigger tony will go e him to November and of we're mid table or lower he will be gone.
Imo it's wrong and most chairman do the manager sacking to keep favour with the fans. Then boast about the previous manager was given extra funds. It wears thin after a while
