    The FA ruin The Cup!

The FA have announced that there will be no more replays in the FA Cup. What an absolute disgrace, sold out to the Millionaires Club that is the Premier League, or more accurately, the top five or six. As far as I am concerned, the **** from Manchester, London and Liverpool can **** off and play their European games in front of those wealthy enough to be able to afford the tickets. Football, as we the fans know it, had its death warrant signed when the Premier League was forced upon us.

    It’s ridiculous Dave.

It’s ruined the FA Cup for all non league clubs and lower division sides.

    It’s F king nonsense.

It is a F U C K I N G disgrace but not a surprise. Man Utd turning their noses up at the competition years a go, as cup holders, in preference to an Asian competition, stuck the knife in the competition and killed it.
A main funding source for so many community clubs and local trades, it's a dispicable decision. A simple replay could save a club and finance it for a whole year if not more.
And for what premadonnas who can't be arsed to play as they are too tired.

One thing I don't get, is that this is obviously influenced by the Premier league teams. Why have they scrapped replays in the 1st and 2nd round when there aren't even any Prem clubs in that round?

If as if further proof were needed about the self interests of the Premier league regarding the sport as a whole! The argument-or so I understand-is around too many games across all competitions that then tire players (diddums) and impacts on their performances in the Premiership and for international duties. If so, introduce the no-replay rules to the later rounds when Prem. clubs are likely to be the ones involved. As it is, clubs in the Championship with small squads often have to put league position first above cup games so cannot risk fielding their best team in the competition whereas the top clubs can afford to put out very decent second teams in the earlier rounds and save their best players for later ones. I get that if a lower league club manages a draw with a higher league one then a penalty shoot-out may give them a better chance of progression to the next round than a replay, but this situation isn't likely to happen very often.

The Premiership is always going on about how money filters down from them to the lower leagues (probably in an attempt to help try and justify the obscene amount of money -and debt- they have swilling around) but this new move will further impact negatively on the lower tiers.

……because they can; the ‘big’ Premier League clubs are so far up their own arses they couldn’t care less about those in the lower leagues. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even realise that they don’t play in the first two rounds, they are so out of touch with reality.

The simple solution was to carry on as normal
and allow big clubs to play their under 5’s if they want to rest their star players.

The even simpler solution was to offer a Champions Leage place for the cup winner rather than allowing a team as low as 5th in the Prem to qualify for a spot.

It’s an incredibly stupid and crass decision.

Meanwhile in the world as the FA sees it all stakeholders were in agreement with the decision to scrap replays from the first round onwards.......

    The FA are so disingenuous

If this had been a vote of the 92 league clubs there’s no way this would have passed, this body are a complete bunch of w anchors!

Maybe fans should just boycott FA Cup matches and embarrass these fk wits into a change of mind.

We bend and bare our cheeks for the Premier League top 6 continually in the quest to aid THEIR European ambitions when in reality, most of our clubs will never sniff a European place again.
