    French Open

Loved watching it and Alcaraz is such a brilliant player! To think he’s still only 21!

Tennis is unbelievably boring in clay, like watching paint dry.

Alcaraz is a great player, if he stays fit he could challenge the sorts of numbers of Grand Slams reached by Federer, Nadal and the present leader Djokovic.

    He’s already won 3 and he’s only just 21.

Swaitek the Polish girl is a great player already.

Wimbledon is still THE tournament to win and the best surface for tennis these days.

Would agree with you and never understand with clay why they don’t operate hawk eye. Yes Wimbledon still the most prestigious competition in the world!

Surfaces are really interesting. I’ve never played on clay, but I played on ash (which is supposed to be similar) Didn’t like it much. Loved grass, quite liked astroturf, and didn’t mind Tarmac which is probably the main court material these days. The worst by far was vinyl. It took the whole three sets to come close to reading the ball. Clubs we played who had a vinyl court won hands down because they got used to it and we went home really frustrated.
