Thread: Aaronson

    Aaronson

Looks like he will play for us next season after positive talks with Farke.

He was first or second out the door and doesn’t appear to have the greatest of seasons in Germany. Not sure about this one ….

If you juxtapose with Cresswell and Gelhardt both of whom have been desperate to play for us two conclusions might be drawn.

Even if he is in the squad he won’t play much.

The famed stance of if they don’t want to play seems to be not quite so firm - if I were Cresswell would be a further reason to go if he bridles and the seeming inquity of the two positions.

    Bad call.

He was way to light on his feet in the prem and the championship is even more physical. He will be beat up physically and mentally immediately and be totally marginalized by the end of the first month of the season. Even an non football person can figure that one out.

No one here across the pond in the states is supporting Leeds because of the this guy.

Loan him out and take the financial beating. the most ominous thing about this is whether they think they can sell Gray and use this guy to replace him in midfield.

It also occurs to me that if he replaces Kamara it will be a huge blow to the midfield. He has his faults but Kamara never went down without some major physical contact (usually a foul, even in the championship). He was steady when you needed someone to settle things down. Aaronson has none of those traits.

Think the midfield starting 2 (assuming same formation and style of play) needs to be Ampadu and Gray which should be far better than anything else in the EFL.

He can then start filling in the pieces around that central spine.

Rodon (if he comes back) and Struijk would be my favoured back two (with Cresswell as back up but think he will end up with Ayling at Boro or at the Den)

Need to sign a decent RB and LB.

    Wings should be fine

    Need a better 10.

    Striker Joseph or someone new.

    Use the loan market better.

Youngsters coming through give bench depth.

To some extent it all becomes irrelevant if Farke is going to be so inert at rotating the squad and making impactful subs.

Not a fan either, if we are lumbered with him again, he needs some serious work in the gym over next 2 months, far to lightweight, no physical side what so ever, so surely cant slot into a CM role, out wide or nothing. A bit like Gnonto, always whinging so no, we need to recruit properly.
He had his chance, would prefer Charlie Crew to get some game time

Agree on all points, but......I suspect he will be "tried" and persevered with, as per others, rather than cut loose and written off as a total loss, which is what should happen..
