    FAO Mods - Errors

    Errors
The following errors occurred with your submission
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

    Gent's how you doing?

I keep getting this error when I try to post to threads. I click the admin link and it says Mods have disabled the email function.

    Any idea what's happening?

Are you trying to post new threads, Raga?

Could it be that it's signed you out, too? Happens to me sometimes-no idea why.

As for emails, the folk who own/run the site have disabled that function as they clearly can't be arsed with anyone getting in touch who needs help. I've been trying to help the Villa board sort out a new Mod as none of theirs post any more but haven't received any replies from the site admin.

It signs me out every time I write a long post. I guess that's an auto-function to protect the site against bots. I get it but it's rather annoying.

    What to do.

It was my 2 part post on the Thiaw thread. It was one post of absolute verbal diarrhea as usual, each time I tried to post it gave me the 'you don't have the token' error.

I split it in 2 and the thread accepted the post.

I thought I'd ask the question just to see what's cracking.

With regard to you and the other guys work as Mods, I appreciate your hard work mate. Lord knows, I'm sure you don't need to deal with the BS, so thanks mate.

Happy to help, man. It's not much, tbh...just becomes tiresome whenever that smb appears but generally runs itself ok. Happy to do it, too, because, whilst numbers are quite low at the minute, the folk who do post are cracking posters and it's a very canny little online community.

Aye, longer posts need to be spilt and you can't post too soon after making a post.

Well I'm sure I speak for all when I say, we really appreciate your involvement and efforts Zip. It is a quality tight knit group which really should have a lot more members.

I get why so many people 'rage quit' though. There was a lot of nastiness back in the day and far too many trolls.

I used to visit the site all the time when I went back to university doing my masters 2007 onwards. Great to not have to get up for work every morning as a mature student, life of Riley!

I had a different Rag base name convention. Can't remember what it was. When I'd graduated the toxicity was at peak levels and I was working in 2 jobs in London so I drop all social media and social/personal life TBH.

After 4 yrs of that soul destroying city I moved back 'up north t'Leeeeeeds and then found a better life/work balance on the same London money so was very happy for a while.

    Thems were the days.

At least we've brought it back to a solid group of football talk rather than the destruction of some boards.
