O/T Anti immigration march in London tomorrow

This could kick off big style with the Socialist Worker organising a counter confrontation with thousands on both sides taking to the streets.1000 extra police officers are on stand by. You probably won't get into London tomorrow !

The last time they met there weee well behaved and cleaned up after themselves and it passed peacefully.

It is the mayor of London that allows the marches. His communication with the MET organise the routes for them.
Mom sure they’ll have done the correct risk assessments.

Not against immigration just uncontrolled immigration.

That's something the shouty fools can't seem to grasp whilst screaming, "Waysist!".

Just as they control the number of people they allow in their homes before locking the doors.

Not sure which shouty people you're talking about, but on here we seem to have had countless debates on immigration and I can't remember any well thought out concerns about immigration beyond meet with "waysist'. I can recall a few though where I ask what we would do to replacem an aging population in the labour market over the next generation, as well as the number of skilled and unskilled jobs that are filled by immigrants at the moment, and the anti immigration people don't seem to have an answer for it. Save forcing the sick and feckless to do jobs that an employer wouldnt want them anywhere near.

The anti immigration arguments are valid, genuine concerns, pointing to genuine problems in a complex situation. What I find is that too many are not willing or able to deal with the complexities and implications of aspiring to net zero.

And what happens 20 years from now, when we have an even bigger ageing population? It's a ponzi scheme.

That's what I mean when I say next generation. How would you plug those gaps when we're already relying on large scale legal immigration to fill the gaps we already have?

This is an honest question, do we need 1.3 million people coming into the country in the last few years. Plus what are the age groups of these people? If we have an ageing population should we not have an age limit for who we let in . Also instead of stealing doctors, nurses from developing countries we should be training our own, I realise it’s not that simple because of cost . Same within the building trade, it’s good money so train our own people from within this country.
