    Corberan

I’m sure we’ll lose him unless he’s happy to be tied to a long term plan. Quite frankly, why should he?
If he fares badly this season he could be sacked. If he does well with the cheap replacements we are getting lots of clubs will want him. It’s all set up for another managerial lottery. Just my thoughts.

I think he will be gone before Xmas, He’s very stupid if he hangs around with a weakened squad as it’s his reputation and at the moment there would be plenty of interest in him. If we start off badly - many always blame the manager regardless of fault so he needs to be careful.

Cole is an awful signing and Barnsley supporters are laughing at us! Whilst nobody expects us to splash out on signings most expect like for like replacements. Okay will be a huge loss.

I still font get good vibes about Patel!

There were rumours this afternoon that he’d walked.

Does Corberan tell the powers that be, the players he would like signed and they try and get them. Or, does he give a list of the type of player he wants and then our idiots in recruitment search for players who appear to have the attributes Corberan wants. If it is the latter then I can see Carlos jumping ship just before the season starts like he did with Huddersfield. Somehow I don't feel that Carlos has said sell Asante and get Cole in as a replacement. Getting worried to be honest. Would still be happy for a season where we ain't flirting with relegation.

    From the official site:

Head coach Carlos Corberán added: “I would like to welcome Devante to the club. Devante is an energetic, hardworking striker who also has pace.

“He arrives after scoring goals in League One last season and will provide further attacking competition to the squad.”

But he does not say, I have had Cole in mind for some time and now we have got him. So did he want him or has he had him thrust on him.

Good question. Could just be being diplomatic.

Surely they discuss all the comings and goings with Carlos or am I being naive?

I’m sure Carlos is fully up to speed with what’s happening, lots of aging players on sizeable contracts who need to be got rid of, this rebuild is going to take at least 2 seasons due to the money constraints.
Nice to see an owner trying to get the club back on an even keel after the Lai debacle.
I think we can right off this season, half way or just under would do me, then on to next season and more rebuilding, hopefully Carlos will still be here
