Far Right v Far Left (or not as the case might be!)

It’s really striking watching the news today.

One lot of protesters are “Far Right” and the other rabble are “Anti Facist/Peace protesters”.

Our media are an absolute joke.

Look back at the 1930's Mick. Same thing. Extreme left extreme right. Over in France they have just elected a left wing mix to prevent the right wing extreme Marie lePen party from gaining power.
Its a rerun of the 30's again.....interesting times a head.

My point is in regards to the reporting though Dubs.

The Far Left are as dangerous as the Far Right but these s c r o t e s are not being reported as such.

They’re being portrayed as the paragons of virtue FFS.

The supposedly impartial BBC are not reporting this impartially.

No wonder the Right get so p I s s e d, this stuff just riles up the nut job element.

My TV licence is going and like everyone else I will still watch albeit not on iPlayer etc. Refuse to pay this corporation another penny through one sided reporting and paying huge salaries to old perverts.

A friend who have known and worked with for years just sent out a Facebook post to all his contacts which said - unfriend me if you voted Reform. I never voted for anyone but how childish to inflict your views on others. Needless to say - I unfriended the idiot!

I don’t like Trump but half of the USA love him which includes our business partners and some friends. Their views to do whatever they want! It’s not Moscow FFS!

Ah OK. It is a volatile time we are living in. Free speech is under threat and everybody gets offended easily. The saying goes..."You'r dammed if you do and you'r dammed if you don't."

That's what pees me off as well Mick, when the news and other media outlets (and the police as well), portray them like they do.
I hate seeing 'far right' idiots and cretins etc, behaving like they have been doing recently. Its disgraceful, but I wish they could understand why people do get so angry, in the first place!. 😩

Far right is used to describe anyone who doesn’t agree with the far left.

    In a nutshell mate.

But the reverse terminology is never used.

The only time you hear the term “Hard Left” is when the Labour Party are having trouble with the Corbynysta brigade, Momentum and Derek Hatton’s Trotsky nutters in the 80’s.

A major problem lies in the fact that the British ‘Establishment’ is now well to the left of centre; Mick referenced an article written by Andrew Neil a week or two back that hit the nail on the head in this perception. I read that piece, too, it was accurate, in my opinion; Andrew Neil is an excellent political journalist. So this ‘Establishment’, which includes much of the media and the police, is now joined by a Labour government, so of course they will not refer to the ‘Far Left’ because some of them are in that bracket! We are indeed in perilous times. The rioters are quite rightly dealt with by the law but the underlying issue that provides the excuse continues. Will that issue be satisfactorily dealt with? No, it won’t, because in so doing the government would upset its left leaning friends in the EU. It’s a sad state of affairs when, even in Britain, we are not being fed the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
