    Left Back Incoming

OS: Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the loan signing of defender Max Conway from Bolton Wanderers.

The 20-year-old left-back has agreed a deal which runs until the end of the season.

Conway, who is attack-minded and can also operate at wing-back, came through the Bolton youth ranks and enjoyed loan spells at both Rochdale and AFC Fylde last season.

He will go straight into Lee Bell’s squad ahead of the opening game of the 2024/25 season at Barrow tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).

So competition all round now. Hope he was at Fylde 1st last season. Just in terms of progression.
Bit concerned at the level of clubs we're taking loans from. But I suppose we COULD be getting players better placed in the rankings of lower clubs as opposed to low down the pecking order from bigger clubs.

Actually Gaza’s, you’ve got a very promising talent there. Many of us wanted to keep him at Wanderers but Evatt decided that he just needed a season at a level up to confirm his potential so hopefully he’ll do well for you. As well as being a good defender he’s also got pace and skill so will make a good wing back for you. Look after him and hopefully he helps you to the promotion you missed last year?

Cheers BarnsleyWhites! In the minutes he's had so far, he's looked promising going forward and willing to take people on. We lost a really good left-back with a wicked left foot in the closed season so he's got big boots to fill.
