Disagree. We should be encouraging local councillors who are Dees.

Can't think of one. Surely there will be SNP and Labour councillors who support Dundee? It isn't a left v right argument.

If his son is a chip off the old block , then it does not bode well. God help the city of Dundee.

So what is it these councillors have or haven't done?

The suspicion is that if you were a Dundee supporting councillor you would support the stadium application and if you were a DUFC supporting councillor, you would oppose the application. I think they have done nothing, apart, I believe, from saying that the new Eden Project is very much bigger and our application might take longer to process because of the limitations in the number of people working in the planning department. There just aren't the man hours available to deal with everything at the same time.

It is not difficult to find out which football team if any a Dundee City Councillor supports.
Councillor Bob Duncan when he was the Lord Provost of Dundee organised the knitters to sit in the stands at Tannadice Park because Bob Duncan is a Dundee United supporter. Being the Lord Provost gave him extra ‘clout’ in Dundee with the Dundee United directors readily agreeing to the knitters having their attempt to break a record for the greatest number of knitters knitting at the same time.
Instead this attempt at Tannadice by the knitters has been ridiculed since then.

Dundee City Councillor George McIrvine is a Dundee supporter.
