    Solid start

We’re playing well, and looking solid. A better start than most imagined. Two winnable matches coming up. 3 points v Stoke and 3 v Swansea are more than possible.

I’d take 3 points from those 2 matches which obviously means a loss.

Swansea played well today by all accounts and Stoke are difficult at their place, I don’t expect 2 wins.

We are a couple of injuries away from Sh it Street, I have no expectations this season or next, I just want us to stay up.

I think a lot of teams have a good match Mick. It’s having that look of a team that’s ticking over nicely most games.

A good start in the league and it goes some way to showing how poisoned the atmosphere must have been with the communist in control. From January this year right through the start of this season it had looked decidedly solid at the back again. Like Mick I would be happy with a consolidation type season and anything else is just a bonus. But a victory already a clean sheet against a decent Leeds forward line.
    Quite pleasing so far.

It’s good not to have too high expectations Dubbs. I think the players will be though and that’s good. I’m happy with consolidation but wouldn’t be surprised if we’re there or thereabouts at the business end of the season.

Not going bust was the height of my expectations last year. So I thought we had an extraordinary season last season in my view. Just go one game at a time and not lets get to excited about things...even though we were top of the league today....just saying.

I think that it will depend on the players that we can hopefully bring in before the end of the month. As I’ve already stated, we have a very thin squad of players who are good enough. With the exception of Heggam, I’m not that impressed with the players brought in and with injuries that we are bound to suffer during a long season we will be stretched to the limit unless we bring in more quality.

“Consolidation” and “one game at a time” are good maxims for this season.
Whilst only two games in….there is a good ‘feel’ about the place. Come what may.
