O/T North Korea open to tourism

    Would you go?

I’ve travelled far and wide all over the world and recently went to Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia so would I feel as safe in such a tyrant state?

Don't think I would go to North Korea.

But looking at Albania, decent reports on hotels, beaches & prices in the resorts.

ELK, it wouldn't be hard finding accommodation in Albania........they're all over HERE!

I was going to say that, but did not want to turn the post into politics.

At least you’d get a better insight into what’s happening in the world while over there 😂😂

The thing is people will visit places like Qatar and significant others in that region who have terrible human rights records and are as corrupt as they come .

In most cases in that region they've Sportswashed their way to credibility .

There's hardly the width of a fag paper between those regions and North Korea only the image .

The yanks dropped over 750000 tons of bombs, god knows how much Napalm, destroyed over 85% of buildingsand killed hundreds of thousands in the 50's war

Just a hint as to why theyre not keen on the US.

Kim jong U is a weirdo but look at their past history and you can see the reasons

    Still wunt go missen !!

I'd be really interested in going. I got close to a visit in the late 80s as part of a formal delegation to Pyongyang with my employer but in the end they restricted the group to a level where I was excluded.

It's a fictional rough ride but the dystopian novel 'The Orphan Master's Son' by Adam Johnson is an interesting insight into the weirdness and barbarism of the Hermit Kingdom.

I think I’d like to go.

The most dangerous place I’ve visited was Iran. I absolutely loved it and was treat really well.

The embassy there opened a few doors for us and we made some great contacts for work.
We went to some great house parties and had a bit too much to drink 😂

I doubt that it would be the same in North Correa though.
