This transfer window has been a total failure for us !!!!

With only a few days left till the window shuts, I think this has been one of the worst transfer windows in living memory !!!!

We got rid of two promising players in MINTEH and ANDERSON and brought in LEWIS HALL (who we already had), a Greek goal keeper and Ruddy to warm the bench, LLOYD KELLY (not sure how good he is), WILLIAM OSALU (another bench warmer) and a young Serbian defender for the future.

NOTHING INSPIRING WHATSOEVER compared to a dozen other premier league clubs !!!!

They are also trying to push TRIPPIER and WILSON out the door, so this season is shaping up as MEDIOCRITY AT BEST !!!!

We got rid of them because we had to though Andy, if we hadn't we'd have been hit with the maxiumum points deduction they could have hit us with.

It's poor so far, but I do think we'll get in a CB and RW before the end.

If the window shuts and we haven't brougt anybody in, I think it would be hard to argue against you, Andy.

However, I think we'll bring in Guehi and a RW (possibly on loan) before then so it could turn out to be good.

Lloyd Kelly is a good signing, and he’s free, Osalu will surprise a lot of people,I really believe this he’s so like Isak, and he’s turned out ok? I hope we keep Tripps and Wilson but Tripps might want to be first choice rb, and he’s not good enough unfortunately,Wilson again I would keep, the goalkeeping is weird! We had to sell Anderson and minted, which is ironic seeing we are after a right winger. I would rather we sold Miggy and kept minted, but nobody wants him so, screwed. I believe we will get Guehi and a right winger, have faith.

If we were Man U we probably would’ve had Guehi signed up a couple of months ago with an initial £70 million plus add ons and the majority of our fans would be happy.
This would soon change though when PSR starts to bite again and we have to flog a purple (it was a stroke of luck to make a 28 million £ profit on a player in one year who’d never played in the PL - Minteh - and we’ll be lucky to repeat that). Man U get their business done early for top players but have wasted stacks of money on sh*te. It seems some of our twitter fans would be happy if we did the same but we don’t have the club income to blow money like them nor the PL inventing rules to help us if we get into trouble with PSR, like the 40 million Covid allowance.
Then there’s Fulham and Brighton making signings. Would you really be happy with them at our club? Howe and/or Mitchell clearly wouldn’t. Eddie didn’t want to sell Anderson or Minteh but he says that about Miggy too. People say he’s too loyal to his players etc, etc. Personally I give him a lot more credit than that. He knows the qualities and limitations of all his players better than anyone - his comments are obviously to maintain harmony and team spirit - it’s obvious if you think about it. Because of that I think he knows very well of Anderson’s and Minteh’s abilities and was prepared to let them go.

So true. Over paying for players hits us much more than them and five other clubs.

Okay lads, I will concede that we needed to bring in some dollars to avoid a points deduction, but I wish the people running our club could have found another way instead of selling MINTEH, a player we needed on the wing, and who I think will be a very good player (wait and see).

I personally, don't think they have handled their negotiations with PALACE very well in their pursuit of Mark Guehi, from what I have read, it sounds like it was Mike Ashley handling this !!!! Even though he's gone, DIRTY DAN ASHWORTH knew how to get his player in the door.

If the deal happens, I will eat humble pie, but I doubt it now that PALACE have appointed this knob captain.

Aye I bet Ashworth having a little chuckle at the monumentous effort to sign Guehi, I wonder if this Mitchell’s a plant, a wooden horse of Troy sent in to derail our transfers, just a thought like.

The wooden horse didn’t need to find a job as a decent gift to a city after Troy though did it?

I expect the dramatics of Andy, but we had no choice but to sell fringe players instead of losing Gordon or Bruno or Isak on the cheap, and no one with any ambition really wants any of the others we’d like to sell… Miggy is going to no team in the top half of the Prem if he leaves, Wilson is too injury prone too old and too injury prone to attract anything like we needed, Tripps is only thinking about the exit door as he’s not first choice (wish him all the best) and still, like Wilson, wouldn’t go for the money we got for Anderson or Minteh.

If PSR told us much it was we are too close to the line to get transfers wrong… personally think 70m for Guehi is 20m too much and I’d not shed a tear if he goes down in todays game and is out for a month… they clearly are happy to try and force a price north of 70m… and in respect of the Guehi chase I agree this window has been an absolute farce, but that’s not to say this is how Mitchell will always perform… there’s a lot of change at the club (and if any says Man Utd have had more… well I’ll bet that people we swapping emails and we’re in touch for a long time before the window even opened)

To be fair to the club - I don't think we've handled it badly at all.

Nothing has leaked from our end it has been all Parrish to the press etc.
