I think this more speculative but he is in the final 12 months of his contract so I dont think Pace & Co. will want to see him go on a freebe. It is starting to get ridiculous.

We might as well as sell him, money in the bank is far more important than being able to field a decent eleven.

I have slagged him in the past but he is the one Cardy named captain FFS.Even his captain wants off.I wonder if the incomings thought they would be playing with a totally different squad from 2 weeks ago.I remember one of them saying its good to meet up with old mates-they have probably left the building now.It is turning into a pantomine.

The trouble is - what do you do with a player who doesn’t want to sign a new contract?

In criticising ALK, as most are, there is no mention of what the player wants. Some of them may think that they are PL quality now and can earn more elsewhere. If they don’t want to be at the club, what is best? Keep them and don’t play them or sell them?

Players have a lot of power these days.

Do we do another Tarkowski and let the contract run down, leaving on a free, or cash in and use the money to bring in someone else? Brownhill is good but he is not exceptional. I would prefer he stays and I believe he is professional enough to give his all. But he has to think of his future and his family.

I seem to recall howls of protest from some on here when Tarks was allowed to go on a free. We should have sold him, what a waste etc. many cried.

I completely agree Swiss especially if we have somebody to replace him which we dont have at the moment.

I thought Brownhill signed for us to be nearer his family from the North West ? Or have I got it wrong ?
We offered him this opportunity to fulfill his wishes ,by getting him to come to East Lancashire, which appeared to suit both parties.
Just like the others, if he wants to go, let him go. He’s a championship player and that’s all

All good logic Swiss but we don’t have a team anymore. - selling players is one thing to balance books - but
It seems to me the ALK are forcing the situation, I don’t believe for one minute Parker thought this situation would develop.

Mercenaries springs to mind for our so called loyal players , I knew in football owners and players that all this was possible - but I haven’t seen it on this scale before.

I’m not sure how we attract - convince players to come and sign for a club that operates like this - it’s easy to say leave if you want out but as an outsider looking in what does it say - look like.

It’s a circus this start to finish.

Seriously. Considering not going on Saturday - do I want to take my dad to what I believe will be a a very hostile afternoon - I can see our own fans falling out amongst themselves, add to that the rovers fans a Derby game and at this moment in time no players it’s a recepie for disaster.
