    Lyle Cameron interview

He made an interesting comment saying if the club wants to push and get top 6 and maybe Europe they shud keep everyone here this season.
Obviously every player has a price but today and tomorrow will be interesting.
The board have done well with budgets recently but this cud test them.

According to the Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2023 which was season we were in the Championship the club made a loss of £2.8 million.
If we sell Luke McCowan then there is the possibility that we are relegated at the end of this season resulting in another £2.8 million plus loss next season.
In my opinion the management of Dundee Football Club should have given Luke McCowan the same wages he wanted as they were paying Rudden especially as Luke McCowan is a far greater financial asset than Zac Rudden.
Had this happened earlier this year we would not have the uncertainty of Luke McCowan still being a Dundee FC player after the current transfer window shuts.

Luke has a year left on his current deal. Even if Luke signed a extension earlier this year we would have still had the uncertainty as there have been bids in for him over the last month.

What are and were the wages of Rudden and McCowan?

I do not know what the wages of Rudden and McCowan were but it was documented towards the end of last season in the media that Luke McCowan wanted the same wages as Zac Rudden.
Posters on the forums had also stated that Rudden was the highest paid player in Dundee Football Club.
I think that James McPake signed Rudden from Partick Thistle.

Can you give a link to any media source that backs up your assertion Luke wanted same wages as Rudden? I've never seen that anywhere so would be great to be better informed.

    Slightly different situation.

It dosent appear Luke is dissatisfied with the offer that's now on the table but whether Celtic or down south he's gonna go you'd think.......we have done well to fend Hibs off up to this point.

But you can bet your bottom dollar if he did stay, come Saturday at 5pm someone will be saying " we shuda took money ".

Players come players go but we have stumbled upon an absolute cracking manager, respected leader, spokesman, wheeler dealer, club cheerleader who people want to work and perform for and with more contacts than Micheal Parkinson rolled into one......he is the main man if you discount keyes.......I've never seen so much determination and togetherness at the club apart from Defiant season.

His relationship with Nelmsy ( which appears to be guid ) is absolute key for me.

If Doc picked himself to play c/f on Saturday I'd probably go along with it. 😄
