    Gary Neville - On PSR

Gary Neville: “PSR was never designed so the teams have to sell their best academy players. Something needs to change dramatically in the next 12 months. Also, Newcastle should be able to invest in the squad, so they can get to the level of Manchester City and other clubs. We can’t just keep a thumb on clubs heads and say you’re not going to invest. We can’t keep Newcastle back and we’re holding them back in this moment.”

    Well can't say he's wrong.

This with all stuff in papers about Villa's owners getting very annoyed about it.

I can't see the current way PSR runs continuing.

CHanges will have to happen or there will be trouble.

He's 100% right but it won't change in any meaningful way-the cartel will see to that.

Very true of course. Owners like PIF shouldn’t be penalized if they’re worried about clubs’ financial health, it’ so more owners like the Glazers who are the threat.

Gary Neville is a very intelligent man, and calls it as he sees it, and he's 100% correct about this shambolic PSR.

Not sure how we and the other clubs can band together to get rid this rotten regulation?

Even just linking it to inflation then 105m would be approx. 158m nowadays.

Not taking into account inflation should be the battle clubs fight now, because I’d have thought that is the easiest argument to say that it is a method of control and that PSR is anti-competitive.
