    Romared Match Thoughts--Manchester United-v-Barnsley

Man U's win at Southampton yesterday means Ten Haag's job may be safe for another week. He will be under less pressure to field his full strength first team against "the likes of" Barnsley.
The last time i went to Old Trafford it was 7-0 and I missed the 1-1 in the Cup. At these ticket prices it is Sky for me on Tuesday.
I hope the players put in a shift and not a Stevenage performance.

And please NOT the pink strip. The designers Julie Anne Quay and Colm Dillane may be world leading fashionistas but that kit is a sh1t show and will be ridiculed on national TV.

Greetings from the Costa Del Sol .

Wishing the lads all the best tomorrow night and hoping we can at least give a good account of ourselves if we can't actually win the game .

It's Champions League night so finding a bar out here showing the game was proving difficult .

However we called for a drink last night at a Rangers Bar and the owner was sympathetic to our plight and says he'll put it on for us .

I am still praying that Davis Keillor- Dunn does not appear on the team sheet or in the match squad as he has already played in the competition for Mansfield.

    They couldn't, could they ?

Be interesting to see what kind of team Man U put out for this. I would assume mostly rotated with a sprinkling of first team maybe.

I imagine we will go with our strongest squad. As SB mentions above, let’s all pray DKD isn’t involved for obvious reasons. Even we can’t be that daft surely?!

Let’s hope our defending is a bit better than it was on Saturday. Obviously I’m not expecting much from this game but I don’t want to see us embarrassed and that defending on Saturday was embarrassing.

All good comments Nerthender , I hope we give a good performance for the fans who have been clearly ripped off with the prices that they are being charged for this special occasion , my biggest fear is how the Tinker Man lines them up ,but fingers crossed we keep the scoreline to 3 or under but if he tinkers and messes about like he did last Saturday they will need to borrow the scoreboard from the other Old Trafford !!

Man utd aren't gonna win the premier league. They aren't good enough.

They can win the domestic Cup competitions though as proved with the FA cup last season and the EFL Cup the season prior to that.

They should be at or near to full strength.

Could be a long night for us

Well the own goals keep on coming with this on the website today.

Whilst we are late in posting this notice, Barnsley Football Club and its fanbase are deeply saddened to learn of Alan's passing and we wish to pass on our condolences to his family and friends.

With fans minds focussed the Man U game this week is a suitable time for the club to slip in this "news". No apology for neglecting this for forty days. Poor really.

Fans have shown their respects to this faithful servant of the club at the proper time and that is what matters.
