    Points from the "big 6"

Points from the "big 6" last season:

    Man City - 0
    Liverpool - 0
    Arsenal - 3
    Chelsea - 3
    Man Utd - 3
    Spuds - 3

    12 total

    This season

    Man City - 1
    Spurs 3

If we want Europe next season, we need to aim for more than 12 points against the top 6 but 4 is a good start for the 2 games played.

That's a very good point, Jammy,

I'm sure I read that since he came, Eddie's points total is 4th best out of every club.

It is but out totals against the big 6 is significantly poorer unfortunately.

We need to pick more up against them.

    I disagree.
Prev season 12 out of 36, for me its good outcome. Also - it is 50/50 split for all except MC and pool, two best teams in England for the past decade.
You could also add Villa to the list with 6/6 and see that we got decent results against those at the top.
I wouldnt be disappointed with same outcome this year.

Now, we were 3 points short of Europe and 6 of 5th place (which I believe would be CL this season). And thats where Luton and Forest games come to mind

Good post. An ambition has to be to get at least 3 points from Liverpool.

We're showing we can compete with the elite teams, we must make sure we do it consistently and the results will look after themselves on percentage.

All we need is more points from those games than we give those opponents, the bigger the difference the better.

At the same time they have had more of their fair share of luck in recent matches against us over the last three seasons as well as more than a few dodgy decisions from the officials going their way.

If, as they say your luck balances out over a period then we have a good bit to come and they can look out for themselves.
