    Furlong

Just read that Darnell has had his contract extended to the summer of 2027 with an option of a further 12 months triggered by appearances. He may have been disappointing in recent games but I feel he is a key player for us and with his old contract expiring at the end of this season this is good news.

His standards dropped in the last couple of games but he was still ***** to the team. Against Millwall when Heggem lost his man in the box, Darnell came across with a superb tackle in the box (timed to perfection) to stop a certain goal.

    Obviously v I t a l is a very bad word.

Certainly worth keeping in the current circumstances.
