I looked about for a link tonight……. Nowt.
Saw the “in our defence your honour speech” from Mr Flatman, posted as somethinh every fan should watch, so I did,…..
Looked to BBS , (Which I dont read normally as it has only ever provided us on this board with drivel we cant now be rid of…). And came across a great post from Royston Tyke.
I read Royston Tyke comments on BBS who I think gets it spot on.
I apologise to Royston Tyke, for posting his comments on here, I hope he/she doesnt take offence.
“Explain how well Lincoln, Stockport, Wycombe and Mansfield are well run at the minute who don’t have the money we have through ticket sales, transfer fees or sponsorship. What they have is someone at the top making some great decisions in the day to day running of those clubs and fantastic recruitment at costs that are a shadow of what we as a club pay.”
A great statement. Why can these clubs survive, and be ahead of us, Our owners are banging £8m a year in. Its not going on fan experience, its not going on ground improvement……and it isnt going on performances.
So.
My question would have been to ask them ……”Just how long ARE the owners prepared to stump up £8m a year before they close the club?” And why, when they are losing so much money, do they carry on doing it, when they know that this club, even if it hits the Premier League jackpot won’t be worth the investment they put in over the years to return a decent shared profit.
Just WHY are they doing it. ?
