I looked about for a link tonight……. Nowt.
Saw the “in our defence your honour speech” from Mr Flatman, posted as somethinh every fan should watch, so I did,…..
Looked to BBS , (Which I dont read normally as it has only ever provided us on this board with drivel we cant now be rid of…). And came across a great post from Royston Tyke.
I read Royston Tyke comments on BBS who I think gets it spot on.

A great statement. Why can these clubs survive, and be ahead of us, Our owners are banging £8m a year in. Its not going on fan experience, its not going on ground improvement……and it isnt going on performances.

So.

My question would have been to ask them ……”Just how long ARE the owners prepared to stump up £8m a year before they close the club?” And why, when they are losing so much money, do they carry on doing it, when they know that this club, even if it hits the Premier League jackpot won’t be worth the investment they put in over the years to return a decent shared profit.

Just WHY are they doing it. ?

I think it’s great that the owners put in the amount of money they do. Not sure where we would be right now if they didn’t and I’m not sure anyone can argue that.

What I would say though is that some of their decisions over these few years certainly haven’t helped with the outgoings I wouldn’t have thought. I know it’s very easy for me to sit here and say this like it’s simple but they need to start getting more decisions correct if we are to bring the costs down. I’m not saying making better decisions will suddenly stop the £8 million deficit but surely it would help.

Let’s hope they keep pumping money in and get more decisions right so we can get back to the championship, sooner rather than later.

Assuming what they are telling us is true that is Jules. 17m a year running costs? How come? 8m annual shortfall covered by the owners according to the CEO.

Why are the running costs so much? Isn't it their bloody job to administer the club accordingly? They should get their act together and do their job properly.

Outlining these statistics at a fans forum is in my opinion exposing their total ineptness yet is targeted towards making fans aware that the owners put in 8m equity per year out of their own pockets for making a total balls up of things. It is swallowed by most and honest questions aren't asked.

Personally I think they have just exposed themselves as completely inept and my faith in them has wavered even further.
If the statistics are true, then this club is in serious danger of folding. How the hell have running costs spiralled out of control so badly? It is down to the people in charge. It's as simple as that.

How long can that go on before they say enough is enough. I mean seriously, who the hell wants to be involved in a business that is losing them big money year upon year.

I ask, is there an ulterior motive going on here with this madness? Does Parekh want to use this to get PMG to sell their shares to him?

Perhaps a wild conspiracy theory but possible nevertheless.

The thing that makes me laugh is they pay a default 8m to prop us up and are seeing no progress. (Basically p1ss ing their money up a wall). If they spent a bit more they might see a return on their investment.

People are right to be concerned as nobody will continue chucking good money after bad. It has to stop eventually.

My take on the Forum.

There was another dig at JAQ and the kit.
Basically because some supporters can’t handle change.
I think the playing kits look great - especially the all red one.
We need more change at Barnsley - not less.

All the financial incomes and outgoings were outlined.
The directors know there are shortcomings in the fans experience but they believe all available money should be spent on the playing side of things.
Which is fair enough.
But - this indicates that there is only a limited amount of money available - so there won’t be further investment in the playing side.
The directors won’t be priming the pump.
It’s NOT ‘managed’ decline - but it dosent sound like an upwards trajectory either.

To add to that, James Cryne has left the building. Now it may be a coincidence that recruitment hasn’t been as good over this last two seasons with the appointment of Collins and then this summers poor player recruitment - but I don’t think it is a coincidence.

And although Neerav said he has ambitions for the club and that’s the reason he is here every 6 weeks - I came away from the Forum feeling quite deflated - as I believe we will be a 1st Division club for the foreseeable future.

Are we meant to be overly thankful to these owners?

Having to put vast amounts of money in to the club to keep it afloat year on year but it's because of them they are having to do this.

I posted my take on the Forum at the same time as your post.
And what you are saying here is in line with my understanding of the situation.
As things stand I can’t see us going forward or backwards - just stuck going nowhere.
But chucking good money after bad then something has to change.

Would love to know this since these owners took over how much they have had to pay out on the financial package of sacking managers.
