I read the article in the DT.
Great player , Dave Watson didn't really get the accolades he deserved.
I've also read articles about Jeff Astle , Bill Gates from 'Borough and Kevin Bird.
Very sad to see how limiting their lives became , with Birdy being very dependant on 24 hour care in a nursing home.
It happens to many in other walks of life too, but I'm sure the aforementioned guys would still have chosen a football career.
