To answer 2) I think most of them are still smarting after Coventry’s equalizer yesterday.

Seriously though, it’s not the first time Eddie’s proven his critics in our support to be wrong and it won’t be the last.
He’s not beyond criticism (the over protection of Almiron being the class example) but he’s doing a hell of a job.

The muppets calling for Joelinton to be dropped/sold (including Dan Ashworth) don’t look too clever this evening either.

    Exactly.

The drama is nonsense. Mackems and other club fans on social media looking for a wind up.

I just look at the league. Look at the points. Don't concern myself with the current positions. Current positions are meaningless.

Right now you can throw a net over 9 clubs.

    3rd to 6th - Chelsea, Arsenal, Forest & Brighton - 19pts
    7th to 9th - Fulham, NUFC & Villa - 18pts
    10th & 11th - Spuds & Brentford - 16pts

One win / One loss changes the order of those teams in that 9 team competition.

The Red filth & Bournemouth are both on 15 just behind that group.

Just shows how competitively close the Premier League is this season. Great to see it.

Liverpool and city have a bit of a gap at the top.

When the press clowns started to say 'Newcastle's top 4 chances are fading' you understand that is a personal opinion of what they want to happen, not based in any form of reality. They seem to believe that Eddie Howe's team just roll over and give up.

Even though we are still several players short of a top top quality team, Chelsea for example have an embarrassment of riches with that sort of quality in the squad Newcastle would be top or 2nd IMO.

We should have taken 3 points against Everton dropping 2 there was a bit shyt.

The draw at Bournemouth was disappointing, we were playing terribly back then.

However + 6 points from those two and our 18pts becomes 24pts and we're 2nd.

Obviously losing at home to Brighton was seriously annoying. So we could if those results had been better we'd be 1 point behind Liverpool.

So, let's not get too high when we win and too low when a few results don't go our way

This just shows how biased the MSM are:
Switched on Sky sports news this morning to hear the feedback from yesterday's game and first up was the gushing report of the red filths' match. Next up was how the Arse nearly missed out on a great win. Next was the spurs game and Ed Sheeran.
I thought fecking typical the toon is on last of the 4 premier games, but no straight to the womens league then to the cricket before the ad break!! Not a single mention that the toon played yesterday.
This agenda against is so transparent it boils my piss.

    Question 2….

No manager is immune to criticism, that’s Kim Jong Un territory, it’s not football.

Howe gets the plaudits when things go well, he gets the pelters when it doesn’t.

People have been criticising how little Tonali has played… he made a massive impact yesterday.

One of the other things people (me for one) have criticised is how slow we are moving forward… Tonali made a massive impact yesterday in that respect alone… picked it up in our half and surged forward into their half and started the move for Joelinton’s goal, then did the same forward run and laid the ball off onto Barnes for the third.

Question 1… doesn’t even deserve an answer.

All my family back in the UK cancelled their Sky Sport subscription and we just watch on the internet now. If they aren't going to give our club air time why should we pay for their services to fund other clubs?

    Garbage.

The whole thing is a PR agency these days. The big clubs pay them to run stories or hold stories. It's not news it's PR.

He was brought on when Forest needed to get forward more and with more tired legs. Hence he was able to make such an impact. I don’t think he would’ve been so effective if he’d started. Great management from EH again.
Until we get injuries/suspensions in midfield I expect to see Tonali start on the bench for the time being.

I’m gonna disagree, hope that doesn’t make me a mackem.

We had no clear chances till Tonali came on, Forest always had a chance to reset and defend as a full unit.

So regardless of when he came on, he made the difference in terms of getting forward and giving us the space to score the 2.

As great as Isak’s goal is, it was a lucky deflection off Longstaff that created it… balls in the air into the middle were easy for Forest for every other chance we had.

Having Tonali and Barnes off the bench is absolutely class. Turned the game from a draw to a great away win.

Brilliant game plan, tactics and team work.

Delighted for Eddie and how the lads are starting to click. Finding form at the right time. A lot has been said by the so called experts & a lot of negative social media has been posted. Some of the fan base are far too emotional and get far to hysterical. They should take a step back from playing Football Manager & Fifa and realise that reality is not something you can pause or reset the console if you're losing to restart the game.

We're in great shape. Our schedule is lighter than that of those in the mix for Europe.

We've got a run of 5 game up to the cup game at home to Brentford which apart from Liverpool at home are all games we should win.

    West Ham (H), Palace (A), Liverpool (H), Brentford (A), Leicester (H).

We should be looking at 12 points from that run of games as a minimum. A perfect 15 would be one hell of a statement
