    Amdouni not coming back...

A 20,000,000 Euros fee is rumoured to be agreed, it looks like the Benfica loan deal is to be made permanent.

"So far, the 24-year-old has played 17 times in all competitions for Benfica, scoring five times and picking up one assist. The Lisbon club have been left impressed and are set to make the move permanent.

That?s according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, stating Benfica?s belief that Amdouni has a lot to give to the club and that directors are convinced he will play a big part in the future."

Shame for me - one of the most intelligent footballers that?s been here for some time - didn?t really get the chance to establish himself imo anyway.

20 million is a good figure though and he?s playing well for benfica

We didn't make the best use of Amdouni. He will continue to do well imo.

Amdouni has undoubtedly got talent but he is physically lightweight and often appeared disinterested/lazy.
Good deal for us if we get our money back.

He was given every opportunity last season by Kompany, but proved that he just isn't good enough at premier league level.

If the 20 million story is true we should be releived to have got our money back from a poor signing

I thought the lad was marvellous and like a lot of our recently bought players was bought purely to trade on at a profit.

Come on Ballcock cut him some slack , a lot of last seasons team were lightweight and yet they?ve gone to progress for all the criticism on here.

Amdouni was clever footballer he played in a team that gave most teams 2 goals start, I felt for him a bit really as i posted previously he needed a partner that fit his game, however he?s an international footballer and playing top level he?s hardly poor is he.

I can only tell you what I see. He was lazy and lethargic and just looked way out of his depth.

If he had have had any character and was has good as you make him out to be, he would have made things happen, because that's what good footballers do they stand out in poor teams
