    The way forward.

We all know the difficulties of the last two odd years.

But, lets have a sound discussion of where we are and where we can go from here and how to do it. Show the board in sound reasoning that we care, what we need to happen. (don't in fight on useless old ground)

To kick off, it's like ping pong politics, boom and bust.
TS wants promotion..we all do. But like economies...it has to be sustainable. TS wants success, but over achieve without necessary funds, it leaves us short. We have no right to expect auto promotion, when I saw the summer signings, it was a bit obvious it wasn't going to happen.
This is where TS and the board are failing. They don't know football. 15 years hasn't changed that.
Previously....So, try a football director. Things don't happen in 5 minutes, remove it....we all have our theories as to why that happened.
It's this type of thing which underpins what is failing.

Thing is, is TS and the board going to listen? If we collectively come forawrd, soundly with reason. And I think that needs to happen. Too many are feeling disenchanted. Too many will turn up and watch anything (which doesn't help) Businessmen only respond to one thing..the bottom line. Football can't be run like that to extreme.

At the moment all we have is SE spouting anything and everything, nothing is coming directly from the Board. This is not good. What I would like to see firstly is communication from them.
SE is getting to the point that we don't believe much that is being said. Truth can't be hid forever.

Defeatist talk, which is what I asked not for.

But....we must. Remember, some think TS is taking us for granted, if true that follows it should be reversed.

Everyone needs to stand up. Look what happened last season, people didn't turn up....so he signs SE to lead us down the no hope path for the price of season tickets. Hopefully that will have given him a clue.

Firstly I would like the club to employ more staff. The ones there are asked too much of.

    1. Use january and the summer to clear out players that are eating our budget and/or have a poor availability %
    2. Only allow SE to bring in young players either loans or ones we can sell on in the future. make him manage young players instead of older experienced pros
    3. Get a COO in that understands the football industry and let PD go
    4. Look to have better knowledge in the club to deal with player contracts
    5. TS to do what the original plan was and build a better quality training facility (highlight of last season TS interview was how he bragged about giving the players a communal can**** at Roundwood)
    6. Find a manager/coach that has more modern ideas to take over when we part company with SE, which shouldn't be any later than may. He will not get us competing for a playoff so the season will be a right off. he should go earlier if we are still in a relegation battle in the new year
that will do for a starter, and yes i know none of that will happen

I don't know? If you have the facts why don't you tell us and without the usual conjecture we get over could've, would've, should've around the dealings with Viktor, Ogbene, etc.

We as a club are in the unique position of knowing what would be needed if we got back into the championship anytime soon, as we have spent quite a bit of time ( mostly unsuccessfully) there in recent seasons. We know, or should do, that the long ball game doesn't work at championship level, and for me the club should be implementing a passing game at all levels of our club as of now, and look for more forward thinking managers to take the challenge on. Easier said than done for a club of our size admittedly, especially in the championship, but that is one of the things on the playing side I would like to see happening, and with some shrewd young signings one or two older experienced players plus three or four loans it's not impossible to at least attempt to play a way that would give us more of a chance at a higher level if we were to ever get there again. Looking back on what I have just written it sounds easy and I know that won't be the case, what managers would come? what players would be willing to come? but to improve we have to have a plan to take the club forward and this is just one of the things I think should be considered. A meaningless discussion - as meaningless as Stewart's pipe dream of Premier league football on a tuppence budget. It just can't happen.
Accept that on this budget - and attendances - the third division is the best we can ever realistically expect. And enjoy the odd 10-minute forays into the second div.

If you X-rayed Rotherham Utd the doctors findings would be you look decent on the outside but boy you look bad on the inside. T/S has wasted years trying to achieve something we could never achieve he has built no foundations no long term plans & S/E is definitely not the manager to change things never as been & never will be.
