Anyone getting excited yet? By that I'm referring to a possible return to Wembley. A longshot maybe. Stranger things have occurred in my lifetime supporting The Millers.

The Round of 16 draw of the Vertu Trophy will take place live on Sky Sports Football on Saturday 14th December 2024 in the build-up to the Sky Bet EFL Championship match between Preston North End and Leeds United.

Northern Section

3 Chesterfield
4 Lincoln City
5 Port Vale
6 Rotherham United
7 Wrexham
8 Blackpool or Aston Villa Under 21

Southern Section

1 Birmingham City
2 Cheltenham Town
3 Colchester United

5 Stevenage
6 Swindon Town

8 Peterborough United or Northampton Town

Doubtful. Assuming we'd take about 10,000 our opponents would still need to take 75,000+ in order to break the 85,021 record set by Portsmouth and Sunderland

Only just noticed it's still possible.
I'd thought I'd seen Birmingham in the Northern section, but obviously not.

Do you doubt they'd take less than 75,000 for such a prestigious tournament?
Particularly now the name has changed, they'll not realise what it is 😆
