    Matchday Thread: Derby v Portsmouth

High hopes for this one after the brave rearguard action against Burnley

I'll be thinking of you all as I endure a Christmas do (arranged by Mrs F so I can hardly cry off sick) that was carefully arranged to avoid a clash with a game, BEFORE Sky made it a TV game. Yo ho bloody ho

I'm going for 2-1 win to us. But maybe this will be the game we get our shooting boots on, hope so anyway.

Love the two optimists above to be right, but I think we drew both fixtures against the eventual champions last season and I’m going 2-2 for three on the trot. Wouldn’t be a disaster but all three points would be much better and very welcome.

Expecting a loss. They were better than us last year and I expect them to be the same this year.

Who’da thought? Best performance for years. We were as much better than Pompey as Leeds were better than us last weekend. What a difference a bit of confidence makes.
Stadium ban for Messrs Faber and Happens?

Me for one. I had an inkling we would do well, but daren't make a prediction beyond hinting for fear of a jinx. Not that I'm superstitious but this is Derby!

Oh ye of little faith, but what a difference it makes having Goudj and Adams in midfield. Nice to see Cashin score as well.

Got our GD to nought so positives all round.
