This is a post I put on the Dundee side of Mad and I have posted the same, as per below, to see what your posters think, in particular about banning issues.

"I've been reading the stuff about crowd figures on another thread and the issue of banning has come up again. I see the 2 Dodes (Dod & Dode) got a ban over on United Mad for one post that appears to have upset someone over there but Roma can post on here with impunity. Some time back I also posted over on United Mad and was immediately banned too. Funnily enough my ban was also about questioning crowd figures. The circumstances actually arose from a United poster posting multiple times on Dundee Mad and a 'conversation' or banter, if you like, took place on the Dundee side of the forum. The United contributor then retreated to the United side of Mad and imo did not represent the exchange correctly. I posted on his thread over on United Mad and as I said was immediately banned.

Who decides who should be banned and why and should the rules not be the same for both sides of the fence? What constitutes 'banter'? I would have thought that unless a post is grossly offensive, racist etc. then that is the nature of such forums a bit of 'come and go' & 'give and take' i.e. banter from both sides. Crowd figures seems to be the catalyst for these disagreements and one sided bans. Being honest I too think United inflate their crowds as all teams do as in adding on non attending Season Ticket holders but again imo they go over the score. This is my opinion but is it enough to warrant a ban? I see that a fair few on United Mad accuse us of being obsessed about this matter but the same sort of posts are common on United Mad and Shedka for one has been banging on about it for years starting threads and bringing crowd figure debates into other threads at times patently annoying a few on his own side of Mad. As one of the 'Dodes' pointed out it was Roma who actually started a new thread on Dundee Mad to 'stir things up' and indulge in banter on our side.

I actually don't mind United posters on Dundee Mad so long as it is a level playing field. My experience getting banned stopped me posting on the Dundee side of Mad for the duration of the ban and I fell out of the habit of posting on here and more or less haven't posted since. I have been posting on The Dark Blues site instead. I would rather have fans posting openly on each others sites as opposed to what has been happening at times on TDB site where there are United fans undercover so to speak purporting to be Dundee fans and that is not banter in my mind."
