    Early leavers

Has the hierarchy or safety officers caused the mass exodus of fans at the NYS 5 minutes before the end of a match due to the exit strategy. It used to be only when teams sold out the away end that we had to endure treacherous unlit footpaths and the bottleneck of Don street, but now if an away team brings more than a taxi full then we?re subjected to an extra 5/10 minute walk to only meet up with them again past the police station. I for one never used to leave early but find myself doing so now with my grandson to make sure we get to the car safely up by millmoor

Certainly was the case in ns2 as I walked down the steps looking around the rest of the stadium, and by the amount of people already outside then yes I?d call it a mass exodus

I too park up there and left just before the end as I know they close the gate after the final whistle.

Today, however, the gate was closed whilst the match was still in progress, with the security guard saying, 'It's not me, mate, I'm just following my instructions from above'. At which point an aggrieved fan lifted one of the barrier fences from its supports so everyone was able to pass through anyway.

It's a good idea when the away end is packed, but frustrating when there are so few away fans.

The club has no issues with rival fans meeting, as long as it is off their premises.

For one moment I 🤔 thought this thread was about Humphreys and Brammall leaving in early January.

There was quite a few trains cancelled yesterday, Leeds to Sheffield which I catch at Swinton, some of them cancelled.
So caught a bus going to game, came out early to make sure I got a train home.
To say its near Xmas, with people going to Meadowhall, rail services still only put 2 carriages on the Leeds to Sheffield & Doncaster to Sheffield trains, when running, with the Miller & the Blades at home same time.
