    Albion K0 times.

By my calculations, and I could be slightly wrong, out of twenty one matches played this season, only seven have kicked off at 3 pm on a Saturday. That means that two thirds of our games to date have started at other times or other days. This is the main reason why I don?t have a season ticket any more. For home games, living in Leicestershire, on average I used to be home by 6.15 pm of a Saturday evening. This meant that that if we wanted to go our there was no problem. I didn?t used to mind the odd mid-week game but now it is completely out of hand. The last group of people to be considered nowadays are the supporters who attend the games. TV has a lot to answer for!

Too right, the kick off times are just crazy; we’ve all been saying for a long time now that TV has changed the game to a significant degree, it certainly has and not for the better. When supporting a football club, attending all or most home games and going to a number of away matches, football was part of our lives; nowadays, with kick off times all over the place, football has to be your life. That is too much of a commitment for many people. The costs involved, too, make it difficult for many. The TV companies don’t even make a particularly good job of it, either.
