    On a brighter note..

The days are getting longer (though probably colder). I share this truism because I used to be a littlewoods pools collector and at this time of year I embraced every minute of actual daylight on my rounds and the additional 5 - 10 mins of extra daylight each week was much appreciated by yours truly. it is the time to look forward to more light and a better 2nd half to the season.

Don't worry about the kids in Gaza, the kids there have all been given their toys this time of year, Kalashnikov's,maybe a few M-16's etc. But first they have to get used to them ,thats where they end up in 'back alleys' firing them. Later they come out into streets, main roads, they have even been seen on a make shift airport and runway, their fathers have built out there for them. (Keeps the rascals out of their homes for a while, peace and quietness for mum!) But what a mess they make, the wild west has nothing on these kids. Thing is' they all want to be 'Billy the kid' so lots of arguments, fights, etc. ( It just means less kids playing in the end ). But no worries ,its a baby factory in Gaza.Lots of babies there, that why you never hear it said ,''long time no see ??''

    Very good at last!
US, UK forces strike in Yemen
The American and British led coalition forces conducted strikes on Houthi controlled Sanaa, Yemen's capital on Tuesday, according to reports in the Saudi Arabian AlHadath channel. The attacks targeted a military base and offices of the security services. Al Jazeera said six waves of strikes in all were carried out. A senior Houthi official said the coalition attacked civilian areas or nearly empty installations.

Israeli jets hit Sanaa airport and Houthi sites along Yemen coast after missile attacks. Thursday in response to repeated ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israel which have ramped up in recent weeks, the military said.

The strikes — a mission that dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets took part in, alongside refuelers and spy planes — followed days of increasingly bellicose threats from Israeli leaders vowing to decimate the Iran-backed terror group after near-daily attacks.

Defense Minister Israel Katz promised to keep pounding the group and “hunt down” its leaders.

“We are determined to cut off this terror arm of the Iranian axis of evil. We will persist in this until we complete the job,” Netanyahu said in a pre-recorded statement.

Another amount of unharmed civilians will be killed in what must be an illegal operation by the US/UK military alliance. I wonder which Labour Party socialist signed off on this madness.
