Could or turnaround inform be down to one thing?

    Dubravka in for Pope
Since he is come into the team we have stopped leaking goals
His distribution of the ball has looked like the defence are more relaxed and able to pass the ball around with confidence
Without worrying what the keeper will do also Dubravkas goal kicks stay on the pitch

Maybe a little bit and i would leave Dubs in goal for now. However for me i think Tonali playing the 6 position has given the team the correct dynamic to get back into the high early press that we do effectively. We killed Manure in the first 30 mins with it and that's the best first 30 mins i have witnessed from us for some time.

Yes mate, Tonali looks like a piece of the puzzle that we didn't realise was.missing and now makes total sense. This guy is a beast and allows JL snd Bruno to advance. JL was a monster last night too brushing players off left right and centre BTW.

We definately need another keeper in now, I don't think Pope will.be the same again.

I think Tonali has been the key to out turnaround.

He makes us greater than the sum of our parts whereas Longstaff doesn't.

i think we could see a similar upshift in overall quality if we replaced Murphy with a Gordon-level player.

I?d say Tonali much more than Dubs.

Let?s be honest, he came in from Ipswich? he?s faced Ipswich, Leicester, poor away from Brentford, 10 man Villa (not much to do) and sh!te Man Utd.

Not done anything wrong, but not really been called on to do much while he has played.

Tonali has protected the back 4 much better than Longstaff, and our speed getting forward in transition is massively improved with Tonali? he looks to drive it forward, and we?re getting at teams before they have the chance to settle into defensive lines.

Ed said post game that the tean was not in good physical condition post summer with Euros etc and are only now getting back to fitness. Would make sense That and teams in Europe feeling the brunt of multiple games.

Whilst I agree Dubs has made an impact, for me it's Tonali that has made the change for us.

I do think it highlights we need a more high quality keeper that is happy with ball at feet though.

I also think its Tonali who got us ticking.

But, as for Dubz - GK and RB position are the only two where the gap between starting player and back up is close enough so you could easily rotate them.

And? thats where I ask myself sometimes - if our GKs are that close, could you sell one? And if we are so desperate with money, is it Dubz who needs to be sold? I wouldnt think about it prev season, but this one I do

Well if we want money for Dubs we have to sell him in Jan.

His contract is up at end of the season, he can talk to clubs for a free transfer from tomorrow.
