Swansea v West Brom Sat 4 Jan 12:30
Early kick-off for the Swans as the Baggies come to town.
Confusion reigns for us fans as manager-less West Brom go on the hunt for Carlos Corberan’s successor, with Swans head-coach Luke Williams angering many by publicly offering himself up for the job.
Some clarification is needed and perhaps we’ll know more Friday afternoon in the pre-match press conference.
After the 4-0 humiliation at Portsmouth can the team re-group and bounce back to give the Baggies a hard match? Our poor away form last two matches is a concern, but the previous two matches were wins against QPR and Luton and show this team are capable of getting good results on home soil.
We missed midfield dynamo Franco at Portsmouth, he’s out with a facial injury that needed hospital treatment after Luton’s McGuiness targeted him last home game. Joe Allen was back on the bench after injury but was surprisingly not used.
Key centre-back Cabango went off with a groin injury last match and his replacement, loan player Abbey has returned to his parent club.
It’s hard to predict this one, depends who’s fit and which Swansea team turn up on the day.

He has backtracked now but he’s upset a lot of people this week with his comments including the owners.
Lose tomorrow and let’s see how it pans out.

With the greatest respect, us Baggies’ fans weren’t keen anyway! By the way, I thought that you were extremely lucky to gain a point from today’s game.
I’ve nothing against the Swans as I was Swansea born but left at an extremely young age. In fact, for those old enough to remember, my cousin, Frank Scrine, played for the Swans in the fifties.
A lot of Swans fans would say you are welcome to him. Yes, lucky to equalise but that?s football. We’ve been on the end of many undeserved equalisers in added time this season. You could say we should have had a penalty, swings and roundabouts.
Swans:
Vigouroux, Key, Christie, Darling, Tymon, Franco, Grimes, Ronald, Cullen, Eom
Subs:
Allen, Bianchini, Fulton, Abdulai, Lloyd, McLaughlin, Naughton, A-0n, Harris
Baggies:
Palmer, Styles, Heggem, Holgate, Furlomg, Diakite, Molumby, Johnston, Grant, Wallace, Maja
Subs:
Bartley, Cole, Diagana, Fellows, Mowatt, Racic, Swift, Taylor, Wildsmith
Swansea 1 (Allen 92’) - West Brom 1 (Fellows 66’)
A hard fought game between two tired teams after the tough Xmas schedule. We knew before hand that the Baggies were the better side, they have obviously invested well to build a stronger squad than us.
We’ve been suffering through a lack of investment in quality players by our previous American owners, but hopefully things will change with the new investors.
Swans had a few chances but we were lacking quality up front to trouble the opposition.
West Brom were fast on the break and caught us out quite a few times, but it wasn’t until 66 minutes that we succumbed, substitute Tom Fellows firing home after yet another breakaway.
Just when the Baggies got ready to celebrate the win, one final push by the Swans on 92 of 94 minutes and sub Joe Allen headed home from Ronald’s cross for the equaliser to shock into silence the away fans, who already thought the game was won.
