    Eddie?s defense conundrum

Schar and Botman back, BDB and Hall have been outstanding recently. Who plays and who stays on the bench for the next league match?
I think BDB and Hall will both start meaning Schar or Botman going to the bench. Knowing Eddie, Botman will be on the bench and have to earn his place in training or wait for an opportunity through injury. I just cant see Schar, Hall or Burn losing their place (nor do they deserve to).

I'd split 50/50 with Botman and Schar. Gotta think ahead and I reckon Botman needs match sharpness.

If all 3 are match fit then it has to be Schar and Botman but, how can anyone drop Burn at the minute.

    I'd go for Burn.

Schar is a better footballer, Burn is a better defender, imo.

Plus, you could argue that it was Schar's fault he wasn't playing and Burn hasn't done anything to warrant being dropped. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I'd go Burn and Botman as well.

However, I do think against Bromley it'll be Schar that starts. One to give him a run out after no competitive games and two gives Botman a rest after 9 months out then 2 heavy games.

It?s not like he got a stupid red, he picked up his 5th yellow and also had 2 in the League Cup so means he missed 2 games because of it.

Bruno missed the league cup match for the same (2 previous yellows before the semi?s) reason? assume we don?t tell him he?s not getting back in as it was his own fault 😉

Schar is our only RCB, whoever plays in that position will have to deal with Cunha, so I?d say we play Schar in his natural position because that lad is a real talent.

I think it?s got to be a toss up between Botman and Burn, Howe can possibly manage it a bit by starting Burn tomorrow as captain then starting Botman on Wed for ?minutes for fitness? with Burn coming on.

Truth is, as it stands we only have 2 positions where Eddie has this problem? Gordon/Barnes and Botman/Burn? he needs to find his way of keeping them happy, because if we are going to improve the squad he?ll have a lot more pairs for the same position to manage where it is not a clear and obvious decision? whereas unfortunately across the rest of the starting 11 it is at the minute.
