    Cardiff v Swansea

    Cardiff v Swansea Saturday 18 January 12:30
Now that we have meekly bowed out of both Cup competitions (League Cup 0-1 to Wycombe, FA Cup 3-0 to Southampton) and given our mid table position with not a signing in sight this transfer window, what is there to look forward to the rest of this season except beating our fierce rivals Cardiff!
Well unfortunately they are on a bit of a roll after beating promotion favourites Sheff Utd on their own patch in the FA Cup last week and a four match unbeaten run in the Championship.
The Swans last away league game was a 4-0 humiliation by relegation threatened Portsmouth, who had lost the two games before and then the two games after we played them.
The Southampton game showed up two things. The huge gap between the PL and the Championship and how weak our squad is. We played four full-backs across the back four at Southampton due to injuries - defenders Cabango, Darling, Pedersen, Parker injured and Tjoe-A-On glued to the subs bench all season without a league appearance.
Which Swans team will turn up on the day who knows but if they cannot be motivated for this match then they shouldn’t be at our club.
