    Better Than The Entertainers

....controversial but I am going to say yes.

Can you think of more than one or two who would start in our current team?

Shearer, Ginola maybe but thats it. And those two wouldn't be automatic selections based on current form. Not even sure I'd start Gillespie over Murphy at the moment.

I dont want to hear any horseshiit about Shaka and Pavel because I am.old enough to remember they were considered a weak link at the time. Given would get in but he was not one of the Entertainers IMO neither was Nobby.

Possible heresy to say that but there we are.

I think you're right! It feels strange to say it, but Shearer wouldn't get in over Isak at the moment. He would be a hell of a back-up though.

I would probably start Beardsley and/or Ginola over Murphy. However, his recent form certainly warrants him starting currently. I love how Murphy has developed with the team.

Good shout about Pedro. I always saw him as more of 10/central player but a man of his calibre could easily go out right.

Playing real entertainers style Imagine a 4-2-4 formation with the front four of Isak, Shearer, Beardsley, and Ginola.

That lot would put the fear of death into any defence.

    Cracking thread, man.

i'm off out so I'll post more later but my initial response is to ask myself which team would I rather watch?

And it would be Keegan's team.

I can see why you say that but I feel pretty entertained with all these wins and clean sheets at the moment 10 games ago it may have been an easy decision.

I think that's true about Beardsley being mostly a 10. In the modern game, I would argue that he would probably be used more in a winger position because of his pace. But it wouldn't be terrible to have him playing right behind Isak either!
