    Middleton and 3-4-3

I thought this season we were going to be default formation of 3-4-3

I think that formation allows the wide attacking players to create

We had our best run when moult was injured and Dalby was in the team as sole striker supported by the two wide men

I?d like to see the stats as to how we get on when Middleton starts this season

Without Middleton we are definitely lacking and the shape is not creating as much going forward or keeping the ball down and passing it around

With Paton arriving and Moult back JG is wanting to play two up front but might be better to keep them on bench until later on in the game and not sacrifice our shape to play two strikers

Let?s not mess about any longer and stick with 3-4-3 and playing Middleton from the start

No need to change from what was working

Slightly odd topic, but what the hell was he thinking passing at end when presented with a sight of goal.

What made it worse was he tried to blame Dalby.

I like Middleton but it's obvious he should have had a shot. The fact he then questioned Dalby after a terrible cross is baffling. However, the whole team didn't play well, did we even have an attempt on target (of note)? I can't think of one.

Completely disagree. He has transformed even from last season. A real threat down our left side and 1 of the first names on the team sheet for me for the atyscking threat he brings. In that position only. Not up front and not on the right. He has a limited set of skills, but when used correctly people cant deal with him.

I agree with this, he's definitely more effective on the left when he keeps it simple; beats his man and fires it over.

We should never have a formation and stick to it. What we do need to have is a system where we make the opposition defend their goal. Goals win games. Having the ball a lot of the time and doing nothing with it is pointless. Wingers create and Middleton deserves to start more often than not because he has delivered when on the left and left in that position. I thought Trap played well and put a cracking ball through for Dalby and a great cross shortly afterwards. Why though can we not start with them?

Trapanovski was good when came on yesterday and carried a threat.

Trap for me though does fade in matches when given a start. I?m sure if it?s fitness issues as he maybe not played at such a great level before

I really feel we are so much better with three attacking players - Dalby and two wingers

Middleton winger on left and then choice of Luca S, Kai, Miller T or Trap on right

I think Luca is much better on the right than through the middle as well
