Players to watch after Southampton game

Shelvey-cool as a cucumber with brilliant vision and ball passing.
Edwards-took his goal well and showed quality.
Bauress-this young lad oozes quality and a bit of creativity-needs a run in the first team.
    Sonne-quality player with great technique.
Benson-good to see him back and almost scored.
Redmond-good to see him back after injuries.

Great result against the worst team in the PL and another clean sheet.UTC!

Was Parker resting his best players and not fussed about the FAcup as per Dyche or was this an experimental team that he thought had a chance? I like to think the latter and this game must have given him some selection headaches for future games.

Of course he rested the regulars. When you have a squad who are has well drilled and organised as ours you can relie on the bench warmers to step up when and if required

Our 2nd eleven beat Southampton away, Leeds second eleven get beat by Millwall at home. The Leeds squad will be struggling towards the end of the season, we won't. If we'd got a striker this division would be ours.

Good to see Cardy mixing it up a bit and giving some new boys a go. He said in his weekly presser that he wanted to give some players “minutes”. Great to see. Hopefully he will play Shelvey ahead of Laurent. He is a different class. Edward’s scores on his d?but. Great! There is much to celebrate with the strength of squad that we have.

It was good also to see Benson involved again. He could be an impact player going forwards.

There's no doubt, our stiffs are better than theirs.

I think the way they perform is down to the manager who has them all singing from the same hym sheet. The lads are well managed, organised and no exactly what their roll is

There cetainly seems to be a very good spirit amongst the players and that isn't always easy to maintain when some players aren't playing every match but think that they should be.

Some might moan about him Mr B, but like you I'm perfectly happy with him.

My only comment would be I thought shelvey struggled with the pace of the game and maybe that just match fitness
