Thread: Penalty taker

    Penalty taker

I'm told we have yet to be awarded a penalty in our favour this season, an amazing statistic.
Who is our assigned penalty taker if we're ever awarded one?
I assume it would be Armstrong?
I can't remember who took any penalties we had last season.

Rumer has it that the refs have been instructed only to award penalty to WBA is cases of extreme violence resulting in serious physical harm to our players in the box , for example where the police need to get involved.

We had a good case for a penalty last night as two Albion players were being held before Armstrong put the ball in the net. It was bad refereeing to penalise Armstrong when all that holding was going on in the six yard box.

    I thought it was Mowatt.

Our penalty taker last season was Swift. I did not realise that we have not been awarded a penalty this season. We have certainly had some dubious ones given against us though.

I'm sure Mowatt took our last penalty off the top of my head.

It is quite unbelievable we haven't had one this season. I seem to remember we had a good shout for one away at Blackburn.

You could be correct regarding Mowatt but when Swift was in the side he has taken the penalties.
