    O/T isa

Been told of my financial advisor there is a strong possibility that Rachel from accounts is going to announce the that tax free limit is going to reduce from ?20,000 to ?4,000.
They really are going to keep coming for us aren?t they?
    Where will it stop?

The suggestion is that the reduction will apply to cash ISAs not stocks and shares ISAs.

As Crash points any such changes would be aimed at driving investment in the stock market.

Might be best to wait to see if it happens before getting cross about it would be my advice.

Tell me the difference in control that a ISA owner has if the ISA is Cash or Stocks.

What am i? Your financial adviser?

There's no real difference in control.

Cash ISAs are interest bearing. They offer lower risk but generally lower return over the mid to longer term.

Stocks and shares ISAs generally offer a better return over time, but are subject to movements in the stock market and so are likely to be riskier in the short term.

I did say it?s a possibility. My issue is that again people who have worked hard are being targeted it?s a quick win just tax and more tax for the working.
How much revenue will it generate?
How much we spending on carbon capture?
How much we spending on Ukraine?
    I could go on.
An ISA with ?20,000 in is not super rich it?s for hard working people to have. This government doesn?t like that though it?s a resentment that they need to act on and give it to ? Well not the hard working that?s for sure.
