Preston v Swansea Tue 4 March 19:45
No match this weekend, Preston match moved to next Tuesday as they are playing Burnley in the FA Cup Fifth Round on Saturday. It gives us a ten day break for temporary boss Alan Sheehan to get his ideas across on the training field.
Preston are a strong side at home only losing two games so far, but have drawn 9 of those 17 home games. A tough encounter is expected.
Swans will look to build on that confidence boosting 3-0 home win against top six side Blackburn last Saturday and will hope to continue their newly found form for this match.
Preston head-coach since the start of the season is Paul Heckingbottom. He took over from Ryan Lowe, who quit of his own accord just one match into the new season, a 0-2 home defeat to Sheff Utd.
There’s a Welsh link - forward Ched Evans, 36 year-old first team player/coach, also ex-Swans Academy goalkeeper Dai Cornell and another ex-Swan, loanee goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
We won 3-0 in the reverse fixture last August, but I would happily take the draw for this match.

Preston 0 - Swansea 0
A hard fought draw in front of a 12.8k crowd.
Swans will be happier with the draw than Preston who had a slim chance of reaching the play-offs. They had beaten Burnley 3-0 a few days ago in the FA Cup but they missed several chances to score tonight. Possession was even but with 20 shots to 8 Preston should have scored. Swans had their chances too but an O’Brien shot too close to the goalkeeper and an Eom free-kick inches wide of the post was as close as they got. A good draw for Swansea against an in form team.

Nothing like the Blackburn game. Poor quality on the ball from the Swans, we were pretty dire and were somewhat lucky that Preston missed easy chances to score.
But let’s be honest, who cares, we are on the fringe of a relegation battle and the priority is to secure enough points to be safe, we can’t afford to worry about the style of football, that can come after. At the end of the day it’s the points that count.
We drew that game where we would have lost it under Williams. It wasn’t pretty but a point gained and back to back games without conceding.
