Romared Match Thoughts Barnsley v Lincoln City

A bit of a home bogey team are the Imps , battered well and truly last season to the tune of 1-5 at Oakwell and won on two other visits since we renewed battle after not playing them since the late 70's .

We need the win and that home form to stand up between now and game 46 to keep us in the hunt for 6th place .

Predicting this one is mightily tricky .

Always a tough match at Oakwell and I would be more confident if we were playing away . I might be wrong but I suspect with Pines and Devigney missing Clarke might have to go to a back four with Roberts and Earle in the middle and Okeefe and Gent at the back , four across the middle and Humphreys with DKD up top, I could of course be wrong and he might play three at the back with Mcarthy filling in and promoting a centre back from the 21"s on to the bench , who knows but I see how we are set up to being the key factor, we will see .

    Ist Half
Forget the scoreline - that was a very poor first half - against an atrocious Lincoln team.
We have to move the ball quicker and more accurately going forward.
O?Keeffe and Phillips are having a bad day and need subbing if they don?t improve 2nd half.

OMG! HOW MANY TIMES? are we gonna try and throw away a comfortable game!
Thank god Lembikisa isn't 1st choice, all he does is put his foot through the ball, ala Kenny Burns.
Another 3 points but my god our 2nd half performances are woeful.

    2nd Half
Well we eventually scraped through against a poor poor Lincoln team.
    Positives:
Watters scores a good goal that will boost his confidence.
    Benson getting back to form.
Other than that - Barnsley were all over the place.
Very little in the way of structure and organisation.

Comfortable 4-1 up and then 4-3 within six minutes and that?s why we are going no where.
Watters goal and their second I have to say excellent .

Just got back in from watching Wakefield Trinity v St Helens at Belle Vue , welcome to Super League Trinity !!! .

Nothing ever straightforward at Oakwell these days but a win is a win and keeps the season alive .

Nice to see Watters on the scoresheet and I suppose we are getting to the point in the season where it's all about the result and nothing else .

    On to Charlton midweek .

Can't see us getting anything at Charlton! They scored 2 goals in the 92nd & 96th minutes today to win 2-1 at Orient, and we are rubbish in the 2nd half of games!
We seem to start running out of legs about the 70th minute mark, looks like Charlton don't?
Hopefully we are 4 or 5 nil up with 20 mins to play and we may scrape home by a goal.......
