Thread: If the return happens

    If the return happens

realistically, how much do you think we will need to spend? Mowbray reckoned 200m - think Ipswich spent about 160m which hasn?t been enough.

Suspect it will be north of 200m which is just insane.

we are better suited than Ipswich was for the prem. They had an incredible season and played well above their pay grade. You may recall we did the double on them and I don't remember them being that difficult of games.

However, 200 million is not a stretch if we really want to stay up.

I hear what you say but it?s still seems madness that the rules mean to stay up mean you have to spend sums that if you don?t achieve that could mean financial ruin or put you in breach of the FFP etc rules.

You can spend as much as you like if signing's don't click it will never happen. If your talking about surviving perhaps 200 might help you.
See they have agreed to buy Rangers so spending might be cut. Perhaps it's time Red bull takes over but by the way there sports teams are going I won't hold my breath. EG formula one and normal racing.

What's 200million to keep a massive massive club like Leeds in the Premier league.Surely It would be worth every penny 👍

Even he couldn't write a script as the corrupt football league will re write it.

Ipswich spent 160m on players with little to no experience in PL, they’ve assembled a bunch of players who are probably good enough to play PL football but they needed to be in teams where there is other experience PL players to help them settle in.

As it is, who is Ipswich’s most experience PL footballer? Phillips? lol or relegated O’Shea?

They bought some good players but for me they should have made 2 less Championship signings and added 2 more experience PL players and they’d probably have survived.

As for us, I ain’t even getting into that till we’ve done it, I’ve seen this script enough times to know one bad run of form and we are 3rd all over again.

We have to get there first, all of a sudden things looking pretty tight, next 2-3 matches tricky, we cant afford to have any off days now.
