Unlucky Alfie, it had the race won. I had no intention of getting involved in the race, but at lunchtime Bet365 were offering 6/4 against Constitution Hill and 6/4 against an odds on shot was just too good to miss so I lumped on. And of course with my money on it for the first time ever it goes and bloody falls. No great harm done though, my first Ante Post bet this year was on Kopek des Bordes at 12/1, at least that got the job done.

No Altobelli Alfie, and you can't be confident about a 20-odd runner handicap of mostly Irish horses I know nowt about, but I do like Impose Toi, Henderson has won this 4 times since 2010, he might have a 5th with this one.

    Or he might not.

In a race like that Alf, it just had to be an EW bet. Got sucked in by Bet365 again, this time it was 7/4 against Jonbon at lunchtime. So of course I lumped on again. That's two good things they've been giving away and they both got beat. Do those buggers know something ?

I will watch the Gold Cup as Galopin Des Champs bids for a hat trick of wins. A rare feat also emulated by the great Arkle who I went to watch with my uncle in the mid 60’s either at Sandown or Newbury.
