    Same old,same old.

Toothless going forward, endless sideways and backwards,no incisive passing,no creativity and another draw whereas West Brom looked the more likely to score throughout the entire game.
6 months on and Cardy still has not worked out how to make us more potent going forward except against relegation fodder or 10 men.
Add to that Egan Riley throwing his toys out of the pram and we will be another important player short for the next three games.
    I rest my case.

There's no point in denying the truth A01. 100% possession will not bring goals if the ball is not in the right areas. Sideways and backwards is getting very hard to watch. How many times do our players receive the ball, on the touch line, facing their own goal with a defender in attendance? What are their options?
We had odd moments of good attacking play but scoring is difficult when you allow the opposition to get 10 men back. Very obvious remarks but it's getting hard to watch this stuff.

Plenty of negatives but very few positives.
Negatives :- Our goal came from a keeper mistake and West Brom were arguably the better team looking more likely to score throughout when they countered.Red cards for temper tantrums for both parker and Egan Riley.2 shots on target over 97 minutes of football at home.Edwards completely nullified by the excellent Styles.
Positives :- a good point against an excellent well drilled Mowbray team.

    Anything to add?

Another positive is that Sheffield did not take advantage of us dropping two points.

We gained one point, we had none to start with.

    Ok

So firstly entertaining yes first half especially WBA a decent team well drilled / big strong boys ( we struggle with that ) and came to play attacking football.

    My views

The manager switched the well take a draw button and we definitely regressed into snail pace sideways and backwards football.

Edwards is a champions league footballer and we couldn’t work out not to play the ball short to his feet all the time ( where he got caught / clattered ) and instead pass it into the channels and LET the ball do the work ( can’t believe I have to post that tbh ).

Once we get clattered regularly we slip
Into possession mode and it nullifies our play.

IMO anyway the switch was switched early second half the message went out a draw will do and fate was sealed.

    Questions

Why change the personnel from Saturday when we had more balance - the actual fact was the No9 was mom and scored after struggling for longer periods

Egan Riley was livid when the runs weren’t made for the pass to be made. - here’s the question why is the centre half the only perpetrator of a forward pass the midfield very rarely do that when they see it they revert to safe sideways and backwards passes.

A draw was a fair result in the end and we have to accept that - WBA went to Leeds and drew came to us and drew good results in their eyes.

I can’t help thinking though as the home side the owe ness is on us to try and win the game and in the end our manager was happy with a point again - sadly.

Sometimes it’s best not to lose especially when you’re being kicked off the park.

Good 1st half. 2nd, Albion I thought were excellent and made it very difficult for us to get into any kind of rytham and got what they came for a point

Thankfully Sheffield United dropped points, but what was CJR doing getting sent off?

We have got some tough games coming with Coventry and Derby away. Bristol and Sheffield United home.

There will be plenty of twists and turns, its the team who holds their nerve who will come out on top, we must avoid last night's final whistle antics

Thing is BT a pattern is forming when we play big strong boys , they push up on our wide men ( strangle us ) but we rarely run behind turning them around ( Anthony tried in first half - only Egan Riley tried to find him though )
I have posted so many times that visitors are always happy for us to play possession football in front of them ( I know you don?t like foster but he does make the runs - making centre backs uncomfortable and at least dragging them out of a rigid centre of the pitch )

It?s no good being really good when the opposition let you do what you want and then reverting to snail pace sideways football when they don?t.

I still think Parker?s tactics are questionable
