Life in the black hole yet?
Congratulations to our Under 21 team last night. They beat Chelsea 2-0 last night with goals from Julien Vetro and Tom Tweedy and they have progressed to the Premier League Cup Semi-Final and will play Queens Park Rangers at a date and time to be confirmed.
Chelsea always figure well at Academy level and this is a really good win and I hope that the Clarets can reach the final.
Add to that the fact that the Under 18s are top of their table, although we are still a Class 2 Academy so they can't be promoted unless we achieve Class 1 again. It is still good to see these young lads doing their best for themselves and the club.Last edited by Supersub6; 08-04-2025 at 08:25 AM.

Hasn't featured lately and the rumour is that he is off to Spain.

No, Premier League clubs are not required to have a Category 1 academy. Originally Posted by sinkov
They must have an academy but it has to be Category 3 or higher.
There ae 4 Categories at present.
