    Ot benny hill

the first blue plaque I ever saw was where he lived in London.

There is a programme on channel 5 now about his cancellation.

In France he is a star still and they laugh at everything about his shows.

Personally I loved his shows .

What are your thoughts of him?

uttis, we didn't lose our sense of humour, we were told by the likes of Mary Whitehouse what we were allowed to watch on TV. She went on to campaign and have removed the likes of a man who surely has to rank in the top 10 of British TV comedians.

Benny Hill a solid gold comic genius. He still has a cult following in Australia even after all the years since he passed.

At worst, it was smut nothing else. Light hearted humour that left the public to decide what they made of his sketches. That was the 70's , pure harmless viewing.

    Nailed it.

The real question should be, who decided Mary Whitehouse should be/have been the voice of the majority?

Brin you’re right of course I guess what I meant to say is that now there is just nothing on tv that even remotely looks like comedy woke brigade, left wingers , adverts with black and white families with Chinese kids in them, we are brainwashed into what we watch, think and breath that s what I mean by we lost our sense of humour and sense too
