    OT anima- doctors appointments

    What a disaster.

The whole system is designed now to keep the oiks like us away from the Doctor.

I could write a novel about the experience I had trying to make an appointment.

Yes I agree, 10 minutes of pointless questions before you actually get to anything relevant to your issue

My GP has just abandoned it but the replacement looks suspiciously the same

The plan of the shadow government is to destroy the NHS in order to drive everyone towards private healthcare, as this will prove far more profitable for them.

This could also be described as another conspiracy theory. As long as we continue to ignore what's happening in plain sight.

Well my recent experience regarding GP appointments and the local hospital has been absolutely first class - staff working really hard very challenging conditions. Can?t speak highly enough of them

My GP's surgery has been rubbish.

I injured my right shoulder in December 2023, after a fall, I carried on thinking it would be ok,
in February 2024 I made a appointment at my GP surgery, saw a nurse-practitioner because the
GP's belonging to the surgery were working from home.
I told the nurse-practitioner I thought I had torn my rotator-cuff, she examined me, & asked what
I wanted to do, I said I wanted a referral to hospital, she replied that she did not have the authority
to refer me to hospital, she could give me pain killing tablets, she then said go to the GP reception
& tell the receptionist I require to see a doctor.
When I did this, the receptionist said that no doctors were working at the surgery, with them working
    from home.
Then the receptionist said, I could see the physio who comes to the GP surgery once a week.
To which I made a appointment, seeing the physio, who gave me exercises to do.

One day in February I had a appointment at Rotherham Hospital for another reason, so decided to
call in A & E, after just over 1 hour I saw a doctor, who sent me for a x-ray, to which she said no
bones broken, but the a rotator-cuff injury does not show on a x-ray, so said go back to my GP.

So no further on with anything.
Earlier this year I made a appointment for to see a physio at my GP surgery, after seeing a different
physio, who examined me, he did refer me to hospital to see a consultant.

March 2025 saw consultant at Mexborough Montagu hospital, who did a examination, sent me to
x-ray, also did a referral for a ultra-sound examination, had this Monday at Mexborough hospital,
also got a nerve conduction test this week at Doncaster Royal Infirmary on Saturday.

So it as taken 16 month's from my injury to getting anything done, this because there was no GP's
    at our surgery in Mexborough.
Now the surgery has got some GP's working at the surgery, but the main GP still works from home.

Since Covid some GP's have not returned to the surgeries, & stay at home working, the system is a
failure, because hospital doctors, nurses & staff carried on seeing people, during covid & after,
    risking their lifes.
